There are 11 categories and 29 sub-categories of surveying and mapping archives in store. The total amount of archives is over 1,000,000 items (in sheets, volumes, folders, boxes and other containers). After the start-up of informatization construction project and during the tenth five-year plan period, NGCC has completed map digitizing of 31,043 mapsheets, paper map and data categorization, data input and set-up of archive databank for 12 sub-categories of 4 basic categories accounting to over 720,000 items and has established a comprehensive management and service system of surveying and mapping archives.
